Mario Meallet is a board certified ophthalmologist with an obvious interest in all things ‘outer space’. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Doheny Eye Institute in Los Angeles, and is currently in practice in North Hollywood. Asked why he was inspired to write a science fiction novel, he says that there are few realms as unexplored as outer space. From childhood on he has had a keen interest in the great mysteries that space exploration hold. “If I hadn’t been side-tracked by medical school, I’m certain I would have become an astronaut.” He has published widely in journals and textbooks of his chosen profession. Join him on his first journey into the realm of science fiction.
